When I started my business, my first objection, aside from not having a skill in sales, was that I did not have the time. I was busy working in my profession of occupational therapy, finishing up my MBA and running a busy household. Over the past, year, I have come to realize that busy is a choice. We prioritize what in life we want to make time for.
I think back to before having children and thinking I was busy. Then a baby comes along and we adjust our priorities. That is exactly what I did. Suddenly, I was no longer playing silly games on my phone to “kill” time. I started inserting my new business into the time I once spent binge watching Netflix. I listened (still do) to training’s while I shower and drive.
Whether you want to start a business, eat healthy….you CAN find the time. It needs to be a priority.
We find time for the things in life that are most important.
Now, how about having a work-life balance. Is it ever too much? For me, working in my healthcare profession for even part-time hours left me emotionally drained. This may not happen for everyone, but for me, it was too much. Conversely, I can work on my business 10 hours a day if I had to and feel energized.
We can live a fulfilling and productive life and it NOT feel like work when we love what we do and feel passionately about it.
What are you doing to live a passion filled life?
