How to develop the confidence you need for success in all aspects of your life.

So many of us suffer with lack of self-confidence. We are afraid to step out and be bold for fear of what others will think or of making a mistake and failing. But, think about it…what would be different in your life if you had the confidence to do the things you really want to do? Imagine the life you would have and what you could accomplish.

I was once told that if I could imagine it, then that means I was capable of accomplishing it!

Confidence comes with action. 

The mindset that you can brush yourself off from a potential failure and hold your head high gives you an immense sense of power.

Think about the people in your life that have self-confidence. We are drawn to them. They are the risk takers, doers and they seem to accomplish anything they set their mind to.

Do you think they feel fear? Do you think they are uncomfortable?

Heck yes! They feel fear. They get uncomfortable. But, the difference is, that they do it anyway. They are okay being uncomfortable. They are okay with messing things up. They are okay with taking risks because they know that is the only path to success and that they WILL figure it out.

There are numerous ways to develop a sense of confidence. Some really start with being totally and 100 percent kind to yourself, accepting potential failure as inevitable. This mindset requires a constant mental reminder that we learn by doing and we get better by doing new, uncomfortable things that allow us to grow and flourish.

If you have been in a cycle of sitting back and helping everyone else and not doing anything for yourself, you may have lost that sense of umph you once had.

If you have been in a particularly tough, negative environment at work or at home, you may have been led to believe you are not good enough.

You may also be holding onto some old baggage from your childhood that you actually have no awareness of at this point in time, but you are left feeling self-conscious and lacking the confidence to put yourself out there.
